How to obtain tender documentation?
Selective Tendering
» LEC will as a normal practice send tenders only to selected approved suppliers
» These are not advertised by public notice
Public Tendering

Where public tendering process is to be followed this shall be done using a re-qualification process following by a selective tender (as explained above) process based on the results of the public re-qualification process.

How To Submit Tenders To LEC?

All tenders should be submitted and deposited in a tender box

»

Faxed and physically delivered tenders should reach LEC before the closing time on the closing date

»

The tenderers must adhere to the instructions set out in LEC’s Tender Policies

When Will You Know The Outcome of Tendering?
»

On the set date the tenders are opened and read out

»

Following the opening, the tenders are checked for responsiveness to the tender documents.If your tender is not acceptable LEC officials will inform you that it will not be considered for evaluation

Your tender will then be compared with others for responsiveness technical and financial reasons

»

The Tender Committee will award the contract or the order to the tenderer that give value for money not necessarily the cheapest price

»

The successful tenderers will be notified formally in writing by LEC officials

How Does LEC Measure Supplier Performance?

Approval of suppliers may be withdrawn by LEC in cases where contractual default by the supplier is experienced.Non-performance shall normally be related to failing to meet delivery deadlines, provides a product that does not conform to requirements, or does not stick with pricing arrangements, this will be dealt with by the Procurement Manager.
